Course Information:
Thrive Alive is a seven-week class series focused on educating youth about the dangers of drug and alcohol use, discussing the local youth culture and
providing coping skills and support for a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. The class is taught by qualified professionals and local experts in each field of instruction. Our goal is to help support and educate the middle and high school students in our community.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Some topics that are discussed may bring up a range of feelings. Each student has the right of confidentiality that is covered by the law. This means that the material you share with a Thrive Alive educator may not be revealed to anyone unless you give written permission. There are, however, particular conditions in which an educator is obligated by law to break
confidence and report certain incidents to the authorities/parents.
These are: 1) Subpoena by a judge in a court of law, 2) If you have been abused or molested by others, 3) If you indicate that you intend to harm or kill yourself or someone else.
