Welcome to Lyttelton Sector 1 Community Police Sub Forum (LS1 CPSF)!
We are a geographical area of responsibility within the Lyttelton CPF.
Who are we?
All residents, business and employees in Zwartkop may become members of CPF LS1.
What do we do?
1. We act as the eyes and ears for Lyttelton Police Station in our area. Providing quality information to SAPS, to enable them to combat crime more effectively.
2. Working closely with SAPS, our volunteer patrollers assist in crime prevention patrols & operations to make our sector a safer area for all.
3. Our volunteer Joc attendants operate a 24/7 Emergency service answering your voice call on: 0861 571 911, dispatching the necessary services you may need.
4. Our Executive committee liaises with our parent body CPF Lyttelton, SAPS, TMPD, Private Security and other role players, to make the area where you stay, safer for all.
5. We have an Integrated Safety & Security plan, Standard Operating Procedures and we provide all the necessary training.
6. We arrange events for you to attend, like self defence, securing your home, community meetings etc.
7. As a community forum, we stand together to assist one another in the “Know Your Neighbour” campaign.
8. We also have projects like our LPR Camera system.
9. We manage street WhatsApp groups, to make the community aware of crime tendencies, provide information enabling the community to protect themselves and be vigilant for their neighbours.
10. In July 2025 we launch our "Monitored 24/7 Emergency Reporting group"!
How do we do it?
We rely on voluntary contributions from the community to meet our financial needs. Our Joint Operation Centre and Community Patrols are manned by volunteers from the community. We provide all the training necessary.
We use WhatsApp, Facebook (Lyttelton Sector 1 CPSF) and email in case of social media interruptions.
