If there are young children in the home please be aware when fostering kittens/cats/puppies and dogs that there are a number of important points to remember.
- Having a puppy/dog is like having another child
  Dogs/Puppies require constant training and supervision from an early age, affection, exercise, stimulation, companionship/constant attention.
  Puppies nip, jump up, scratch and love to chew– that is normal!!!
- Cats/kittens do sometimes destroy furniture/belongings. We strongly advise buying a cat scratch post and lots of toys.
- Kittens must be kept inside until they are sterilised.

I agree to seek veterinary care, follow up and/or check-ups when necessary and follow the HART protocol for my foster pet. I also understand that HART will provide food, cover veterinary costs, and supplies needed for my foster pet.

I agree that any expenses for the care of my foster pet such as food, medical visit/care, supplies which I incur will be presented to HART in the form of receipts for reimbursement from HART. I will discuss any expenses with a representative from HART prior to purchase if possible.

AM I ALLOWED TO ADOPT MY FOSTER PET? Of course! It is lovingly called “foster failure” and it happens. HART understands how you can become attached, and you are always offered first choice at adopting your foster! If however this happens you must complete an adoption form and pay the adoption fee of R950.
