  • All of the numbers you want to port need to appear on one single Telkom bill.

  • NB! NB! NB!

    By default any and all ADSL functionality of the associated number and line is cancelled during the porting process. If you are unsure of whether you have ADSL or don't wan't lose the functionality, please read the below and or contact our porting team at porting "at" cisp.co.za.

  • The ADSL service needs to be listed on your latest Telkom bill. Some examples of the line item description to look for:
    DSL Fast/Faster/Fastest Bundle 011 XXX 1234
    DSL Fast/Faster/Fastest 011 XXX 1234
    Your Telephone Line (WS) 011 XXX 1234
    If it is not listed on your latest Telkom bill it means it has already been cancelled and you should answer "no" above.

  • Stop

    This form must be filled in by the authorised person for this Telkom account. Please change the name above accordingly and change your answer to "Yes"

  • Required documents...

  • We require the following documents to get started with your number porting:

    • Latest Telkom statement
      • Must be complete statement of at least 3 pages reflecting the number and services on the second page
      • Please ensure that it is of the latest month. Please contact Telkom to send it to you if necessary.
      • NB! Please print out the bill and sign next to your name on the statement.
      • NB! Please print out the bill and circle the number you want to port and initial next to it.
    • Proof of payment
      • Must correspond with the latest invoice
      • Screenshots and photos of the transaction are not accepted
      • If you pay Telkom via debit order you can go into the transaction detail on your internet banking and print that page or print your bank statement and cross out your other transactions
        • NB! Only submit your porting application immediately after your Telkom debit order has gone through. NOT before
      • Please attach the POP that corresponds with the attached Telkom bill.
    • Copy of the account holders ID

    If the account is in a business name, all of the above as well as:

    • Copy of the company’s CK registration document
    • A company letterhead authorising Cool Ideas to port the number

    NB! These are requirements from Telkom and not Cool Ideas. We have tried to make it as simple as possible however Telkom will reject the port if these documents are not all correct. To avoid delays and possible downtime on your number, please ensure that you get all of the correct documents to us the first time. The process can take anywhere from 2 – 8 weeks. Please do NOT cancel your Telkom line until the port is complete. Telkom normally closes your account after the port is done however you need to confirm with them directly just to be sure.

    Please take your time to read through all of the terms and conditions
  • Application to port number/s to Cool Ideas.

    • I hereby submit my application to port the number(s) listed above to Cool Ideas
    • I confirm that Cool Ideas will be responsible for notifying my current Network Operator of my intention to port my existing number and cancel my current agreement with aforesaid Operator, and that I am responsible for settlement of this account.

    Acknowledgement of ADSL Functionality Loss once number(s) are ported.

    • I understand and acknowledge that I will lose the ADSL functionality and that the line will be deactivated once the below number(s) have been ported over to Cool Ideas. If ADSL functionality is ever required in future, a new Telkom line and service will need to be applied for.
    • I accept any/all penalties for early termination of my contract, should one be in effect.

    Important Note on Port Reversal.

    • As per the Ordering Systems Specifications for Geographic Number Portability (OSS) (Section 5.4)
    • A port reversal will only be done if it is discovered that the port was erroneously performed, i.e. fraudulent or maliciously.
      • 5.4.1) If the above is proven the port reversal must be done within 24 hours
      • 5.4.2) If it cannot be proven the customer will have to request a port reversal directly from the network operator (i.e. Telkom) after 2 months (60 Calendar days)

     

    Value added services *

    If you have any value added services associated with your Telkom account they will be automatically cancelled.

    Examples of such services are:

    • Voicemail recordings
    • Automatic forwarding of calls
    • On hold music
    • Call waiting facility

    * We do offer equivalent services free of charge which we will set up for you when you take delivery of your phone. Ask our friendly support staff for more details.

    NB! NB! Business number ports may incur higher costs ranging from R350 to many thousands of Rands depending on your current Telkom setup. Please allow us a few days to provide accurate costing. We will require written acceptance of these costs before proceeding.

  • Should be Empty:
