  • Welcome To The Thundafund Project Submission Page!

  • How This Works:

    • Tell us about your project: Your campaign idea, how much you are needing to raise (Milestones) and what you can offer people in exchange for their cash pledges (Rewards);
    • Read our Crowdfunding 101 information and the guidelines below;
    • Hit 'Submit' to send your information to the Thundafund Vetting Team; and
    • Allow us 3 days to send you the vetting feedback. (We take time and care with our project interactions!)

    Why does Thundafund have a vetting page, why can't I start building my campaign immediately?

    We want to make sure, before you spend several hours building a campaign, that Thundafund is the right platform for your project - as creating a successful campaign takes time and planning.  So, we're keen to hear about your idea and offer tips first.

    Once your project has been approved, you'll be sent further documentation
    to complete your campaign.
    In the meantime, familiarise yourself with the
    ama-zing projects on www.thundafund.com.

  • Some Quick Reading...

  •  2 Essential Crowdfunding Facts:

    You raise money through offering and pre-selling project-related Rewards. People purchase these Rewards, which they only receive when your campaign is over and your project is up and running.

    Crowdfunding means some serious marketing by you for your campaign: your friends, your family, the lady at the corner store - get ready to tell them all about it.

  •  The Thundafund Guidelines:

    Please only 'Submit' if you have read and agree to the following:

    • Thundafund uses a 'Rewards-Based' (Reward for Backing') model. See Crowdfunding 101: Part 2 for what you can (and cannot) offer.
    • Thundafund works on the All-or-Nothing model. You have to hit your 1st monetary target (Milestone 1: The Tipping Point) to receive any of the funds raised within your entire campaign duration of 30-90 days. (Don't make it? Funds are returned to your backers. Creating a 'Risk free, debt free' model.)
    • You must be over 18 years of age.
    • Your project must have a South African bank account.
    • Currently Thundafund offers backer the options to complete payment via Payfast; Electronic Transfer and Paypal.
    • Thundafund earns it's keep through a commission on successfully funded projects: 7% for individuals and organisations; 5% for registered NGO's.
    • Allow 7 - 14 working days after your campaign has successfully completed crowdfunding for funds to be paid into the provided bank account.
    • Thundafund reserves the right to decline hosting a campaign, as sometimes certain projects just might do better with a different partner or different process. Our decision is final in such cases. (This is a nice way of us saying: be nice, because we're nice :-)
  • Should be Empty:
